Rain Gutter Regatta

Rain Gutter Regatta

It's almost time for one of Cub Scouting's most beloved traditions — the Rain Gutter Regatta!

📅 Thursday, September 3
🕘 6:00 PM
📍 Peace Lutheran Church

Scouts build and decorate their own small sailboats from recycled materials. So bring some recycled cans, plastic bottles, plastics and foam, tape, scissors, markers and then race your craft down water-filled rain gutters by blowing into the sails. No motors, no paddles — just lung power and a little racing strategy!

Like the Pinewood Derby, it's a great mix of creativity, craftsmanship, and friendly competition. And since the "engine" is the Scout themselves, everyone has a real shot at taking the win.

Families, come cheer on your Scout, and siblings are always welcome to join in the fun — whether your Scout is in it to win it or just loves getting a little splashed, this is a race day to remember!

Bring recycled cans, plastic bottles, plastics and foam, tape, scissors, markers. Anything you might want for your regatta!
