Scouting for Food - Pick-up Bags Local Scouts from Pack 972 along with Troop 972 will be returning to neighborhoods on Saturday 11/17/12, starting at 10 a.m., to collect the Scouting for Food bags they distributed last weekend.The Scouts are hoping the drive will help families who have been hit by the tough economic climate as winter approaches.We are asking for residents to fill the bags with food and personal care items that will then be taken to Our Neighbors’ Table in Amesbury and sorted, boxed and delivered to those in need in the community. Scouting for Food 2012 This weekend our Cub Scout Pack will have begin our annual “Scouting For Food Drive“. In 2011, we were able to deliver hundreds of pounds of food to our church food pantry. What you can not see is the effort that went into the food drive. Scouts and their families put in a lot of time and effort, first putting out the bags, and then returning the next weekend to collect the bags from the homes that donated food for our drive. It is not easy, placing the bags at homes is hard work. You walk. It may be cold. But you walk. You take each bag to each house on your map and secure it to the front door ...

New Pack Website - Welcome! You will notice some changes in the way we go about Pack business over the next several months and we are pretty sure they will be changes for the better. Our hope is that you can (eventually) rely on the website as your main source of information about our Scout program.In the near future, our leaders will learn to post stories and update their calendars and some other nifty tricks to keep everyone at the top of their game. Please give them some leeway as the changes go into effect and everything starts smoothing out. It might get a little rocky before it gets smooth.We think you are going to like the changes.
