SUMMARY of UPCOMING EVENTS for PACK 972 Please check the PACK CALENDAR for the list of ALL EVENTS scheduled for the 2010-2011 scouting year. Interested boys in grades 1 through 5 and their parents are welcome to visit at any Pack event marked with * in the calendar below.

We will have a table set up to promote scouting. We are looking for volunteers to be at the table that night and we can hand out flyers, including details about the Family Picnic. | Sat -
Aug 21 | Lake Saint Louis Triathlon - Sat, Aug 21
Help Pack 972 run the water stop at Leon Court!We will meet at Leon Court at 7:30am. Bring your own water to drink. This is an easy and fun event for the scouts. | Sun -
Aug 29 | Pack Fall Family Picnic - Quail Ridge Park - Pavilion #4 (the one by the pond) – Time TBD, but it is usually from 11 AM to 3 PM. The Pack will provide the meat, buns , condiments, plasticware, plates and cups, so families can bring side dishes to pass and beverages.
Bring frisbees for the disc gold course, and other sporting goods for fun in the park. | | Sep 9 | School Night to Join Scouting! - THURSDAY, Sep 9, at Green Tree Elementary School
Den Leaders will help demonstrate the Cub Scouting program, and will answer questions and welcome parents and scouts interested in joining. Your son can join Scouting at any time, but this is the BEST time to join since it is the beginning of the new program year. | TBD

 | Cub Scout Pack 972 serves Lake Saint Louis and the surounding comunities in St Charles County, MO. Pack 972 is chartered to the Chapel of the Lake, and primarily serves the young men attending Green Tree Elementary School as well as home-school students in Lake Saint Louis, O'Fallon, and Wentzville. Pack meetings are generally held on the last Monday of the month at Chapel of the Lake. Please check the calendar at this site for the actual dates/times for pack meetings. | Currently, most of our members are students at Green Tree Elementary in the Wentzville School District. Since Green Tree's completion, Pack 972 has become the primary Cub Scout Pack serving this school. We also occasionally use the school for den, pack, and recruiting functions. We also work in conjunction with Boy Scout Troop 972, also chartered to Chapel of the Lake, to provide our boys access to the complete Scouting experience. As an example, during the annual scouting good turn Scouting for Food charity food drive, the pack and the troop jointly distributed and collected the food bags for the entire Lake Saint Louis area. |
