SCOUTS AND ADULT LEADERS MUST HAVE the appropriate physical form (CLASS 2 for the boys) SIGNED BY A DOCTOR. Don't take our word for it, since it is plainly stated at the council website: http://www.stlbsa.com/Camping/Summer+Camps/Cub+ScoutsREALLY - Your scout will not be allowed to remain at camp until the properly signed physical form is presented. If there are not enough adult leaders with doctor signed health forms appropriate to their age (Class 2 under 40, or Class 3 for over 40) then the boys will not be allowed to stay in camp either! PLEASE read the information at the council website. Cameron sent an email previously that contained many useful links to this information, or simply start with the link above. | June 21-27

| Pack Family Picnic at Quail Ridge Park - We are trying to book Pavillion 1 where we had it last year. Date TBD. The usual events, such as egg toss and raingutter regatta (with boats made from styrofoam at the event) are planned. The Pack will provide the hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, lemonade and condiments, while the Dens will bring side dishes, desserts, and soda. | | Saturday, August 22 | Lake St Louis Triathlon Service Project – Pack 972 will be manning the water distribution station along Rue Grand at Rouen Ct, the "Short course turn-around, (long course, keep going!)" point. Meet at 7 AM at Rouen Ct, and bring lawn chairs, personal beverages, snacks, orange cones, and frisbees if desired. Trash bags and a few rakes or brooms are also handy for cleaning up the used bottles. Please park in the center of the court or along the street on the other side, so we don't block any driveways. A limited number of Triathon volunteer T-shirts are usually available on a first-come, first served basis. See John Campbell for more information. | Mid- September | School Night for Scouting - Tell your friends about this opportunity to get in on the fun. Parents of prospective scouts will be provided information about the upcoming year's Cub Scouting program, meet the Den Leaders, and fill out the form needed for their son to join the Pack. New members will need to pay for one half year of dues ($30) and will be provided a book and neckerchief for the appropriate rank, and a Pack number patch. Information will be provided as to what uniform items are needed, and where you may get them. This session will be held at 7 PM at Green Tree Elementary, usually on the second or third Thursday in September. More details to follow.

| Fall Family Camp-Out - We are seeking to reserve the group camping area and Indian Camp Creek Park. Details to be determined.

 | Cub Scout Pack 972 serves Lake Saint Louis and the surounding comunities in St Charles County, MO. Pack 972 is chartered to the Chapel of the Lake, and primarily serves the young men attending Green Tree Elementary School as well as home-school students in Lake Saint Louis, O'Fallon, and Wentzville. Pack meetings are generally held on the last Monday of the month at Chapel of the Lake. Please check the calendar at this site for the actual dates/times for pack meetings. | Currently, most of our members are students at Green Tree Elementary in the Wentzville School District. Since Green Tree's completion, Pack 972 has become the primary Cub Scout Pack serving this school. We also occasionally use the school for den, pack, and recruiting functions. We also work in conjunction with Boy Scout Troop 972, also chartered to Chapel of the Lake, to provide our boys access to the complete Scouting experience. As an example, during the annual scouting good turn Scouting for Food charity food drive, the pack and the troop jointly distributed and collected the food bags for the entire Lake Saint Louis area. |
